The past four editions of SYMUN were a great success, and the students who participated in them have only words of thanks for what the conference brought them: Spain Youth Model United Nations (SYMUN) is a project organised by the Association for the United Nations and International Law (ANUDI) at the University Carlos III of Madrid. ANUDI strongly believes in empowering young students and bringing them closer to public institutions, generating critical thinking and highlighting dialogue and cooperation as fundamental means to face contemporary challenges. The association has extensive experience in organising international conferences and has participated in UN simulations around the world. For this reason, it believes that this is the perfect time to use this experience to bring together around 360 brilliant secondary and high school students from different backgrounds and allow them to discuss international relations in a multicultural environment. In this sense, SYMUN aims to be a platform to promote knowledge and understanding of the most important issues of today’s world.
The last four editions of SYMUN were a success, and the students who participated in them have only words of thanks for what the conference brought them:
«SYMUN has been one of the most beautiful experiences I have ever had. Surrounded by wonderful people, this project has shaped me as a person and made me see the world from a different point of view».
«SYMUN has been one of the best weeks of 2019. Those days of debate I could say without any doubt that they were the days in which I learned the most, not only in terms of knowledge, but also on a personal level. It is an unforgettable experience and I think it will open many doors for me in the future.»
